In my role as Wound Clinical Nurse Specialist (Wound CNS) I provide assistance, education, mentorship, coaching and advice with complex wound management within Taranaki District Health Board (TDHB). I have a team of Wound Resource Nurses who assist me at unit/ward level, plus I oversee our Wound Support Team (of relevant health professionals) to advise on highly complex cases.

I have delivered locally the post graduate specialty practice paper in wound care twice over recent years, with good cohorts of nurses and wound resource nurses undertaking the paper.

I endeavour to run a NZWCS wound study day (usually on a Saturday) in the year the post grad paper is not running.
