2010 Education Scholarships

Applications are now OPEN for 2010

The New Zealand Wound Care Society (NZWCS) has three main aims:

To improve outcomes and quality of life for patients with wound and skin integrity problems.
To provide and encourage best practice wound management across all health care settings.
To be a recognised voice at national and local level in any issues relating to wound healing or maintaining skin integrity.

These aims are achieved by a number of means. In particular the NZWCS encourages education at national and local levels, and provides support for members to enhance their practice and knowledge in wound management by providing annual education scholarships.

The NZWCS is pleased once again to demonstrate its support of education for health professionals involved in wound management in New Zealand by providing 9 scholarship awards for 2010-2011. The scholarships available include:

Four (4) awards of $250 for any education course or study day(s) that are wound related,
Two (2) awards of $1000 for post-graduate study in Wound Management, and
Three (3) awards of $1000 to attend a National or International Wound Conference.

(Scholarships may be used for study or events in New Zealand or overseas)

Please Note: Applicants for this scholarship must be current Members of the NZWCS and have been a member for a minimum of one year at the time of application. You must also have the support of your manager to undertake the course of study or attend the conference/event.

This scholarship is not open to Commercial Members.

The closing date for applications for the 2010-2011 year is: 31 October 2010

Successful applicants will be notified by the 30th of November 2010.
